About Me

I work in the fields of contemporary literatures, digital cultures, and the ethics and aesthetics of violence. I have published on the Holocaust, American Slavery, the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, online activism, hacking, and the contemporary extreme. The underlying interpretive assumption of all my work is that literary fiction, popular history, film, and other commercial cultures work together with political events and social crises to articulate the terms by which reality is perceived.
